This screen is just for you, open it on your laptop or a spare Chromebook to moderate entries and approve previews without showing the class. Press Host anywhere on the site: the projector opens in a new tab in front, and this console stays behind it, signed in by itself. For a second device: tap Copy teacher link on the host screen and paste the link there, it fills everything in for you.
The projector screen is not connected. Students who join now land nowhere the class can see.
On the projector computer, open /host: it picks this room back up by itself for six hours. The room stays open while you are on this console.
One laptop: set your display to extend, not duplicate. Drag the projector tab (it opened in front of this one) onto the projector and keep this tab on your own screen. Nothing on this screen ever reaches the projector.
Laptop plus a phone or a second device: project the projector tab from the laptop. On the other device, open the link from Copy teacher link (bottom corner of the projector) and this console appears there too.
Private answers land here, under Live entries, and in the activity report at the end. A private step, an exit ticket for one, puts only the question and a count on the projector, never an answer.
Starts for everyone, same as the button on the projector.
Only you can see these. Hide anything that shouldn't reach the class, hidden entries are skipped by the AI and the reveal.
Each student is reading the chain they started. Only you see the whole list. Show puts one on the class screen; the next Show replaces it.

The activity report shows everything the class made, ready to print or save as a PDF. It is built from the live room and is not stored anywhere: printing it or saving the PDF is what keeps it. Once the room closes it is gone, and a copied link will not bring it back.
